Maintenance
In addition to the cost of purchasing the software, you
must also purchase an annual maintenance agreement. This
annual maintenance agreement is generally equal to 18% of the amount you
pay for the software.
The annual maintenance agreement entitles you to the
following:
> Free upgrades as new versions are
released (about once every 1.5 years)
> Access to an online technical support
knowledgebase, enabling your staff to answer/fix many problems on their
own
> A certain number of pre-paid technical
support incidents per year. You can call Great Plains'
technical support people directly (if you don't want to call your local
Great Plains VAR or if they are unavailable).
