Microsoft Great Plains Accounting Software Pricing

Great Plains software licensing is based on the following:

 

>    Are you purchasing Great Plains Standard or Great Plains Professional?

 

Great Plains Standard is approximately 1/2 of the cost of Great Plains Professional.   

 

>    How many concurrent users do you need?

 

Great Plains uses a concurrent licensing scheme.   You pay a fee for each concurrent user.  Estimating the number of concurrent users requires you to make a judgment call.  If you have 10 people in your accounting department, but at any one point in time only 5 of them need to be logged into Great Plains, then you should buy a license for 5 concurrent users.

 

>    Which modules do you need to purchase?

 

Great Plains has about 30 different modules.   You only pay for those modules you need.   Almost everyone needs the following basic financial modules:

 

>   General ledger

>   Accounts payable

>   Bank reconciliations

>   FRx (for reporting)
