From a software perspective, there is only 1 version of the software. But there are two different licenses to Dynamics Great Plains that you can buy:

> Business Essentials

> Advanced Management

Great Plains Business Essentials is approximately 1/2 of the cost of Great Plains Advanced Management.

Certain modules to Great Plains are only available if you have the Advanced Management license. See the Great Plains Module Availability Excel spreadsheet.

If you grow, upgrading from Great Plains Business Essentials to Great Plains Advanced Management is merely a matter of pasting new registration keys into the application as the software is the same..
